Wondering what happens next?

Here is our 12 step design and build process outlined.


1. Contact us

  • Visit our website – see what we offer and examples of past work.
  • Or give us a call and we will come to you.


2. Design Meeting

  • Visit with a chosen architect or architectural designer to discuss your requirements and your wish list.
  • Discuss your budget.


3. Concept Plans and Design

  • Regular meetings will be held with the team to look at concept design and where this all sits within your budget. Amendments can be made where necessary.
  • Once size and layout are decided on a concept plan is produced.


4. Acceptance of plans and estimate

  • Once the plans are accepted and budget has been thoroughly discussed and accepted, the working drawings can be prepared.
  • Regular meetings will be held to discuss various elements.


5. Completion of plans and presented to council for consent

  • Working drawings and specifications completed and a fixed price for the build is prepared and presented to you.
  • If you are satisfied, the contract and guarantee are signed, progress payments discussed and plans sent to the council for consent application.


6. Interior and exterior colours and finished

  • While your plans are in council, we can meet to discuss various colours and product choices for your new home.
  • We have a selection of kitchen consultants, landscape designers and colour consultants to discuss your wants and needs.


7. The build begins!

  • Once the plans are back from council, the build is underway!
  • A timeline will be presented for your approval and a start date determined.
  • There will be regular site meetings with the team to discuss progress as the build progresses.


8. Mid Build

  • There will be regular on site meetings to view progress and make any changes if needed.
  • Changes to colours and finishing touches will be finalised.


9. Quality Control

  • As the build completes we will ensure final inspection are passed and full quality control checks.


10. Completion

  • Once complete, we will clean your new home and hand over keys- ready to move in!
  • At this stage you will need to organise insurance for your new home.
  • You will inspect the finished product with Brendan.
  • Once the home receives your approval, the product warranties, keys and all other relevant information will be passed on to you.
  • The 10 year Homefirst Build Guarantee will be activated, ensuring your new home remains in tip top shape!


11. Moving in day!

  • Your new home is all ready to move in!
  • You will be asked to write us a testimonial of your experience for our future clients.
  • We will organise a professional photographer to take photos and you will receive a copy of these on disk to keep.


12. Follow Up

  • It is important to us that you remain happy with your new home and that any issues are dealt with promptly and with as little disruption as possible! We will remain in constant contact with you to ensure you love your new home!
